Black Panther Animal
Black Panther - Physical Description
Members of Black panthers live across vast of geographic areas. They live in all kinds of climates and conditions. Therefore their physical appearance varies widely. General speaking, male black panthers are larger in size than female members. Black panther can be up to forty-eight inches long with a tail at twenty four inches long. They weigh anywhere from 90 lbs to 150 lbs. In general, black panthers living in open areas are larger than those living in forests.
A black panthers coat color is not truly black. Under close examination, one will find that the coat is actually a very dark brown. It also has spotted pattern as a light-color leopard, but the spotted pattern is only visible from certain angles under bright sunlight. These spotted patterns are called rosettes which are made up of several small dots forming a circular shape. The leopard is not to be confused with the jaguar, for which the rosettes have an additional spot in the center of them. Unlike the jaguar, the spots on a leopard are either closed or open and no additional spot can be found inside the open rosette.
Black panthers animals are not the biggest cats, but with well-muscled body and powerful limbs, they are natural born athletes.
